Welcome back! This week we wanted to showcase two different hair care routines and how to utilize products that work best for your hair goals. We will be discussing a curly hair routine and a straight hair routine.
An essential piece of any great hair care routine is products that work to achieve your hair goals. The investment products in any hair care routine should be shampoo and conditioner. If you love your current shampoo and conditioner but want something extra, consider investing in a scalp serum for your health. A moisturized scalp creates a solid foundation for healthy hair growth and better-hydrated hair. This blog will give several recommendations for shampoo, conditioner, texturizing spray, hair oil, and shine sprays.
Welcome back No Label babes! This week we wanted to expose and explain some of the most common misconceptions about hair salons and stylists.
“It’s just hair and shouldn’t be so expensive.”
The differences in pricing depends on the target market, the skillset and experience, and education. The difference between our pricing is that our prices are competitive with salons that share a similar goal, image, and clientele, and that’s how the pricing is based. Products and other expenses have increased by about 22% these past couple of years, so the rising costs are due to covering the product fees and charging an hourly rate for the stylist’s time. We configure prices to ensure our stylists
Welcome back to the No Label Studio Blog! We are super excited to share the Vlog by Rio!
Rio, the owner of No Label Studio, wanted to spice up the blog this week and turn it into a fun vlog experience for readers. She offers a ton of great insights for people looking into cosmetology school, as well as answering a few common questions she receives frequently. Please check out the video to hear from Rio herself, but this written blog post will also go through the vlog and pick out her invaluabl
When Rio opened No Label Studio in 2017, she started by herself as the only stylist. But, as the business got busier, she needed to hire an assistant to help her with tasks. She brought on an assistant and started the assistant program.
The program has evolved significantly over the five years it has been in place. At first, the assistants were just there to help Rio and for Rio to walk them through her process, and show them what she was doing for clients. The assistants would also help with shampooing and blow-drying clients.
Rio has evolved and grown as a stylist since implementing the program. Now that she’s more organized with each assistant, she allows them to be more hands-on with clients. If Rio is foiling the front of a client, the assistan
Are you looking to achieve a new look? Possibly add length, texture, or fullness to your natural hair? If that is the case, extensions may be your best option.
Extensions are versatile and can be used for various hair needs and goals. Several methods are on the market today, such as tape-in and fusions, micro links, wefts, hand-tied, and many more. Micro links aren’t normally used at No Label because we think that they cause too much damage to the natural hair.
Extensions can be utilized by clients who want to add fullness or length to their hair. Hormones can cause hair to recede and cause the area where bangs would typically be less full. Tape-ins are great for women who lack fullness after a hormonal change.
As a stylist, showing your work and getting more clients can be challenging.
The evolving and dynamic forms of media and social media becoming popular has tremendously impacted the number of potential clients that see stylist work. This week, we wanted to showcase some of the stylists here at No Label Studio to share their personal experiences with utilizing social media, the power of referrals, and how those referrals can help stylists grow.
Starting with Rio, owner of No Label Studio, she describes her experience and the growth of the business. The best way for clients to help her as a stylist and show that they love their hair is to post on social media. When clients post on social media, the posts make her feel like her work is appreciated and validat
